About Bridges to Prosperity
The most powerful thing we share with others less fortunate is knowledge. We do so by delivering practical knowledge that encourages the poor to lift themselves from poverty on their own. This empowerment of the poor is accomplished through our Community Bridge Building programs, which demonstrate how knowledge and training can fuel positive change in their lives.
Community Bridge Building is an incredibly successful way to teach this lesson. For bridges allow people to cross geographical barriers like rivers/gorges/mountains, thereby allowing access to schools, hospitals and markets.

Profile Summary |
|
An engineering background and or construction experience is desirable but not required. Language skills also are not mandatory, but prove helpful in most situations. Most opportunities involve camping at remote rural bridge construction sites in tents, and involve working side-by-side with the villagers performing manual and skilled labor to build footbridges for communities in need.
