About CURE International

CURE International establishes and operates teaching hospitals in the developing world for the medical and spiritual healing of disabled children and their families. Currently CURE has hospitals in Afghanistan, Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, Ethiopia (opening in 2004), Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. In the first 7 years of operation more than 150,000 patients have been treated at CURE hospitals and over 16,600 surgeries were performed on disabled children.

International Voluntary Service Activities

Because CURE International is providing First World medical technology for poor countries at a rapidly expanding rate, the number of volunteers at each of the hospitals is essential for optimal effectiveness and efficiency. Currently CURE is blessed with, on average, 100 domestic and 250 international volunteers. As the number of CURE hospitals grows worldwide, so will the number of volunteers required to implement the models of excellence that have proven successful. Plans are developing to open two hospitals a year in underdeveloped countries with CURE Zambia and CURE Vietnam the next probabilities.
