About Global Reach International
Global Reach International (Global Reach) was established in 2002 and is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization registered in and operating out of Branchville, NJ. The purpose of the establishment is raising funds for a currently operating orphanage in Nepal. One of the founders of Global Reach is former Peace Corps volunteer Bill Sansone. After spending time giving service to the Nepalese government building a school for a community in dire need of a structure that was safe, clean and able to serve the under-privileged children who required a place to gain a tuition-free education, Mr. Sansone witnessed first-hand the extraordinary need of the people in Nepal and how he and others who shared his desire to make a difference could impact the daily lives of the people living in that country.
During Mr. Sansone's time in Janakpur, Nepal, he made the acquaintance of the Adhikari family who are a determined and dedicated group of individuals committed to improving the lives of the children of their nation; they recognize that the children are the future of Nepal and the Adhikari's have devoted themselves fully toward doing their part to shape their community to sustain its most precious resource. Sharing in this passion, Mr. Sansone united with the Adhikari's and the beginnings of Global Reach were born. A partnership was forged to create an organization that would exist for the sole purpose of providing opportunity and hope for Nepalese youths.
Khusbu Adhikari is the youngest daughter of the Nepalese family who created the foundation of Global Reach. When Mr. Sansone returned to the Unites States, Ms. Adhikari returned with him to continue her education and further the efforts which her family began. She and Mr. Sansone have devoted all of their time and energy to growing Global Reach to its present state and currently have the goal of bringing their organization to a level which will allow them to spread their accomplishments beyond the borders of the town of Janakpur to a larger scale so that they may influence and improve the lives of even more Nepalese children.
Today Global Reach has had many successes in its endeavor and is proud to have supported the Bal Ashram (Children's Shelter) Global Reach Nepal Orphanage for the past four years. The organization has been able to raise monies that exclusively benefit the education, housing and care of 20 Nepalese children. The funding that Global Reach provides also supports a four-person staff who are full-time residents at the orphanage in Janakpur and offer administrative, wellness and emotional assistance for the children living there.
