Maternal Life International provides AIDS prevention and care and maternal health services to developing third world countries, primarily in Africa. Programs include:
Maternal Life partners with PVOs, private and governmental agencies, and in-country community and faith-based groups. The programs are designed to be implemented by maternal Life and carried forward by in-country groups.
Maternal Life International continues to expand its programs as funding allows. It has deployed three professional volunteers to Africa in the past 12 months, and will deploy 16 more professionals over the next 12 months, mainly nursing students to help in Africa. The number of prospective volunteers is unknown as it depends on funding from the private sector.
